I believe to heal is to be made whole, and my desire is to assist others in seeing the magnificence that they possess in their own body and being. The wholeness is always there, even during times of debilitating illness or injury. Our body knows how to heal itself. When someone has a broken bone and a cast is put on, the cast doesn’t heal the fracture. The cast just creates the proper conditions so that the body can heal itself. I have found that nervous system regulation is the key to healing. It is difficult to tap into our inherent treatment plan when the system is busy tending to overwhelm and threat response. Over 85% of health issues are nervous system related. By exploring the body with presence, brushing up against areas of tension and resistance and meeting them exactly where they are, the innate intelligence and story can unfold.
After years of doing touch therapy, I am now feeling called to offer my abilities to people in a different way. My approach is very gentle: to heal through the power of connection and resource. Our trauma was overwhelming. Our healing doesn’t have to be. The trauma occurred because there was not enough capacity to process it. We digest that trauma by building safety, support, and and stability in the body. These elements that were lacking before, once established, can give us the ability to repair our mental, emotional, and physical wounds stuck in our systems. Bringing resource to the body helps us to hold more of what is and keeps us from experiencing overwhelm. We begin to trust ourselves. We begin to understand the language of the body. We now see our body as a great ally, rather than an adversary. We learn lessons. We grow. We begin to thrive.

My Journey Into the Power of the Body
“We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us” -Joseph Campbell
The human body has been and endless source of fascination and curiosity for me. The shapes and gestures made….all of our life story, emotions, and divinity infused into every cell. This is truly sacred ground. I am a bodywork practitioner with over 20 years of experience in facilitating, attuning to, and dancing with the rhythm and expression of the body. Every person is unique in how they manage their life experience. The body has a story to tell, and I am honored to listen to it’s wisdom.
When I was studying biology and psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in my early 20’s, my interest in this arena was peaked when I was diagnosed with an incurable autoimmune disease. I felt betrayed by my body, that it was not a safe place to occupy. Enter the realm of depression and numbness, and add a hearty helping of depression and confusion. I was lost. I started looking for treatments that addressed all of the aspects of my health, not just symptom mitigation. Body was my problem, and body was my solution. Healing through the body has been my salvation. It has been a coming home for me. I wanted to learn more and to help others in this capacity.
I completed my massage therapy training at the Colorado School of Healing Arts in Lakewood in 2000. Since then I have been committed to learning new areas in bodywork therapy, and I am constantly striving to embody this knowledge and pass it on in order to serve my clients to the best of my ability. Throughout my career, I have completed thousands of hours in trainings. More recently, over the past 5 years, I studied at the Colorado School of Energy Studies in Boulder. My trainings were in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Polarity Therapy, Biodynamic Perception, and Embryological Morphology.
I have worked in collaboration alongside chiropractors, acupuncturists, and herbalists. I have assisted with instruction on bodywork techniques. I have worked in a cozy day spa, and have had my own private practice since 2013. I love serving the community.
In 23 years of practice, I have worked with thousands of clients of all ages and all different stages of health. With every client I use my knowledge, experience, and intuition to help decompress, connect to the body, and appreciate the inherent wellness present, regardless of the condition.
